![]() ![]() Then do the install to perform the update.įor me, one of the most compelling features of Evernote is its ability to sync all of my notes across all of my Macs, iPhone, and IPad.īut if you don’t need or want that, you can setup EN Mac on one Mac to use ONLY Local Notebooks (Local NB). Technically, you could close the EN Mac app, make an Internet connection, download the update, and then disconnect. You want to update the EN Mac to a new version.you want to download (sync) any EN Web Clipper Notes. After you initially log in the EN Mac, if you stay logged in, then you don’t need Internet access, unless You have to create an Evernote account to initially download, install, and log in to the EN Mac app, but no Notes yet. No, but after initial setup, you don’t need an internet connection. Just for reference, here are my most used Evernote Macros and ScriptsĬan Evernote be used without any account, without any Internet connection?(I don’t sync to other devices.) I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have. My suggestion is before you reinvent the wheel, reconsider Evernote. There is an AppleScript available for copying DT notes to Evernote.I have other KM Macros and AppleScript not posted - I need to update.I have posted many Evernote Macros here. But I have substantial augmentation of Evernote using AppleScript and KM.The Evernote Search, and Spotlight Search are excellent.I make great use of Evernote many times a day. I have a KM macro with JavaScript that selects just the current post or code block, and then calls the EN Clipper.EN Clipper 6.10 for Chrome (and Safari in a week or so) was just released a few days ago.I'm still running 6.9.2 for another week or so.EN Mac is now on Ver 6.10 (just released about a week ago). ![]() When was the last time you gave Evernote a serious test/review? ![]() Prefer to build custom with KM + other apps. My thinking on this topic has been motivated and encouraged in part by an article by Here not all is perfection, but the tone is highly positive about the app.īut over there, post after post full of confusion and aggravation.Įasy to learn, easy to maintain, easy to repair: To see one perspective on the problem, compare this forum to the DevonThink forum. Instead, I’m wondering about using KM + other apps to do 70% of DevonThink with far less aggravation. I am unable to search the volumes with other 3rd party tools like Find Any File as well so I am guessing it has something to do with either how Mac OS or how Facilis is presenting the filesystem to the search clients. At first I thought DevonThink had great potential.īut now, after 6 months of experience, I’ve had enough. Let me know if there is any additional information I could provide that may help with troubleshooting as EastFind is one of our favorite overall utilities and would love to be able to continue using it.Īddendum: I also wanted to add that this is not just isolated to EasyFind. These shares are mounted over ethernet or fiber channel at our facility and previously there was no issue with searching on pre Monterey machines using the (current for us) 8.1.2 version of Facilis software.įull disk permissions are given to EasyFind but like the original poster, we don’t get any search results. ![]() They are emulating the Avid Unity/ISIS/Nexis shared storage platform format “avidfs” and the Facilis client controls mounting and unmounting of the volumes. Monterey 12.6.1 on both Apple Silicon and Intel and EasyFind 5.0.2 connected to Facilis shares.įacilis client uses its own emulated filesystem on Mac and is not a “true” smb volume. I don’t know if a solution to this was ever found, but I am experiencing the same issue on our systems here. ![]()
